The Brandywine Creek, which winds through northern New Castle County as well as Chester and Delaware Counties in Pennsylvania, has been named a finalist for 2020 Pennsylvania River of the Year. The other finalists are the Lackawanna and Ohio Rivers and Buffalo and Connosquenessing Creeks. Candidates were chosen by the Pennsylvania Organization for Watersheds and Rivers.
