New Mediterranean Concept From Bardea Restaurant Group To Open This Spring

A new restaurant from Antimo DiMeo is set to open this spring in downtown Wilmington. Ezme, a 50-seat concept at 625 N. Market Street, across from Bardea Food & Drink, draws inspiration from DiMeo’s travels through Greece, Turkey, and the Aegean Coast. The menu will feature shareable dishes across categories such as handhelds, mezze, and raw bar, alongside tasting options. Expect bold, ingredient-driven flavors with highlights including chicken gyro bao, kibbeh, and seafood-focused hummus dishes, all reflecting a modern, globally influenced approach to Mediterranean cuisine.

Iron Hill Brewery Set For Riverfront Reopening In May

Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant is set to return to Wilmington’s Riverfront, with a reopening planned in time for Mother’s Day. The popular brewpub will relaunch its 10,000-square-foot space at the Riverfront following its closure during the chain’s bankruptcy last year.

The Wilmington location is expected to resume operations with plans to bring back the brand’s house-brewed beer program alongside its familiar food menu. Once a cornerstone of the Riverfront dining scene, the reopening marks the return of one of the brewery’s former flagship sites.

Winterthur Marks 75 Years With Field & Fête Garden Party

Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library celebrates its 75th anniversary with Field & Fête, a garden party-style event set among its scenic fields and Azalea Woods on May 16. Guests can bring their own picnic or purchase food and drink on site, including lobster bao buns, wagyu beef sliders, savory skewers, grill classics such as  hot dogs, and signature desserts. Hot dogs nod to estate history — Henry Francis du Pont once sold them from The Cottage porch when he lived on the property.

Beverages include cocktails and a Winterthur-label pale ale collaboration with Wilmington Brew Works, plus anniversary ice cream from Woodside Creamery. The event runs 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and also features live music and garden access.
