Delaware’s Habitat for Humanity is launching the Cost of Home Campaign, aimed at housing affordability. The campaign will focus on increasing the supply and preservation of affordable homes, more equal access to credit, optimizing land use and access to and development of communities of opportunity. This coordinated statewide campaign comes from the national organization’s initiative to help more than 10 million Americans over the course of five years to increase their home affordability. In Delaware, one in nine households spends 50 percent or more of their income on their home. The Cost of Home Campaign seeks to lower this number and make sure everyone has a safe and suitable home.
